Privacy notice

How Fabula uses the personal information of the businesses that use it and their team members.

Who we are

Fabula provides online booking and appointment software to businesses in the United Kingdom. For the accounts of businesses and their team members, we decide how personal information is used (we are the controller).

Our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office is being completed.

When a business uses Fabula for its own customers, that business is the controller of its customers' information and Fabula processes it on the business's behalf. Each business has its own privacy notice for its customers.

What we collect

Your name, email address and sign-in details; the business details you enter; your role in the business; and, for subscriptions, billing details handled by Stripe (we never see card numbers).

Technical information needed to keep the service secure, such as sign-in times and the device's IP address.

If you send us a message through the contact form on our website, the details you give (name, business, email, phone and message) are emailed to us so we can reply (legitimate interests). They are not stored in Fabula.

Why we use it

To provide the service you signed up for (contract), to take payment for subscriptions (contract), to keep the service secure and fix problems (legitimate interests), and to meet legal obligations such as keeping invoices.

We email you about your account, your subscription and important changes. We do not send marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

The companies listed on our sub-processors page, under contracts that protect your information. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

While your account is open. When a business is closed, its data is deleted 30 days later. Billing records are kept for six years for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Contact us using the details on our website.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
